even if it has George Clooney... and he's actually quite good in it anyway.

The other thread got me thinkin' on "realistic" space tech stuff and although the disaster situation presented is a completely over the top "every freaking thing that can go wrong goes wrong and then some" type storyline it all happens in an obviously researched and scientifically plausible way.

Forgot about that one. I think I might watch it again.

The IQ-less on YouTube will tell you that there's no such thing as gravity and the earth is flat.

(I'd find their theories hilarious if they weren't so darn serious - the future could be in trouble...)

The "future" is in trouble?

I know you've been a little busy as of late and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but...

well..

the present has been doing some pretty funky things as of late.

Your post about the present was made in the future compared to when I made my post.

(Just sayin'...)

'Gravity' was Ok, it didn't linger long in the memory tbh. Very much enjoyed 'Arrival', that was some thought-provoking stuff.

I still enjoy a night of bad sci-fi over a night of good reality TV. My life is stuffed full of reality, when I relax I want to get away from it and just imagine a different life. At 60, I can still go and see an animated movie like Despicable Me and totally buy into the premise.
