Love a bit of GOOD Sci-Fi, and I'd agree that Gravity is pretty special.
 
There have been a few recently that I really enjoyed - The Martian was one, even with Matt Damon, and also Interstellar, even though the ending was a bit 2001-ish.
 
Passengers is worth a look, but Arrival didn't so a lot I'm afraid. Bit too arty farty for my tastes.
