....new midi controller keyboard. I would like a 61 key keyboard, doesn't have to be weighted, and of course modulation wheel, pitchbend, and transpose. I've had my Kawai MDK61II for several years and it's been a good one, but I think it is beginning to show it's age, and I would like to have more features even though I may not use them. Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I think it would be best if you read some reviews(although you probably already have) and decided on a controller that gets good scores in a couple of (trustworthy) mags or web sites and also has your must have features. Of course hand on testing might be good also. But here is one you might like: M-Audio Axiom AIR

What matters to me is feel.  I tried a bunch in a music store and bought the Roland A 49 because it didn't feel like a cheap toy like the rest. 
They make all sizes. Very cool features and simple. 
They don't take up much room either, It's all keys and a small control panel.
It also has real MIDI or USB.
I wrote a review, I notice I complained about the driver installation, turned out that was a faulty DVD Drive so ignore that part.

The best "feel" I could find was the Akai Professional MPK2XX.   Buttons are solid with a reassuring click, faders and pots stable and smooth, and keys are hefty without wobble.  A little more costly, but worth it for me.    All others I have tried felt like junk.  

Lots out there these days with similar features, but they all sport different key action. Find one you enjoy playing. Some of the cheaper ones feel like crap. You won't know unless you actually try some. The better quality ones will more than likely have better quality sliders, knobs, pads, buttons, etc as well, which is important if you plan to utilize them a lot.
