"I Don't Owe You Any Thing" (My September 2016 Song)
 
Trump my like the tone in this lyric. However, I wrote it with myself in mind. I was reminding myself that I'm in charge of my destiny.
 
 I was on a jog when the tune came to mind, so I start out with the words, I'v been running the back streets. The idea in the words is that, It's very hard to understand why any one should think the world owes them something.

You're right that there are those who believe that.  I'm sure there are different reasons for different people.  I liked the song,  it could have been a single for the pet shop boys.  The foo fighters had a song by the same name ( I think it was their first single) and it was related to the HIV virus...can't remember the gist of it though.

110% pop with no apologies! Except for the lyrics. Love it!
 
I think background vocals would be a plus . . . your lead vocal is mixed pretty loud, maybe back off a bit?
