Beginning November 11, 2017 all honorably discharged US military veterans will be able to shop the Army & Air Force Exchange on a military base or online.  Most veterans can verify their service online.  More information is available here: https://www.shopmyexchange.com/

That's wonderful news. However, unless you can now buy music software at the PX, this thread is in the wrong place.
Moving it to the CH.

Thanks Jim.  It will be interesting to see what they have for us.

We get tax free at all military Exchanges and Commisaries. Speaking of, I spent yesterday at McGuire AFB. Nice base

Great news! I'm almost 3 hours from Luke AFB down in the valley, so having the online option is fantastic. Bookmarked!

I just went through the VetVerify.org process. Very easy. Verified in a couple of seconds. They ask for: First, Last, Last 4, birth date, your email address and your branch of service.

Been in beta since June 5th. Looking forward to November 11th!

EDIT: I just read that this new benefit is only available at the appropriate online exchange, not any of the physical on-base exchanges. No biggie.

bitflipper,

I appreciate your moving this post to the correct location within the forum.

TheMaartin,

I first discovered this information through an online article at The San Francisco Chronicle website.  The article indicated this privilege is available both online and on site.  The exchange website does not mention on site so I'm not sure which is correct.  On site will not be practical for me since the military installation nearest to me is almost 100 miles away.
