Just to point out again here that TransX in particular as it was originally mentioned in the OP, is not just a wide band Transient Shaper like the SPL one it also offers a multi-band option which is going to be useful when you want to use it on sub mixed material. to repurpose existing audio etc, and not just for treating individual channels.

This is the aspect of TransX specifically which is bringing in the rave reveiws.

The principles are the same as in Danny's video but it provides that ability of being able to home in on specific frequency bands that would need to be isolated and treated then recombined for a traditional single band TS to gain this functionality.

Actually, after reading your post it made me re-read this entire thread. It made me realize how I totally blew it to even get involved here. I don't know how I missed the whole Trans X thing and thought Transient Shaper/Designer was what we were talking about here. Sheesh....I'm really sorry about that to everyone who took part in this thread. I'll read things more carefully next time and will remove my links. Honest, I really thought I was doing the right thing but I totally misread this thread and for that, I do apologize.

Danny not at all TransX is a Transient Shaper/Designer so everything including the excellent video is relevant.  It's just that TransX has a multi-band option on top of it's traditional TS capability.

It would be far better if people had a good grounding in the principles involved in transient shaping before starting to get involved with any 'multi-band' version so your input here has been invaluable and bang on topic.

Yep, totally understand that Jonbuoy, I still don't think what I posted was what the OP was looking for because the multi-band part isn't included. That makes it sort of like 2 different animals in a sense. Thank you once again for pointing it out to me. I can't believe how bad I misread this thread. I've cleaned up my posts.

Well, that would be dissapointing.  I truly learn something from every post that you get involved with.  As I had mentioned, your videos are fantastic.  They are done in such a way that I can understand the subject.  Not just this one, but others you have shared with me as well.  So it was n't done using Trans-X.... it was still increadibly informative and opened a whole new way of thinking for  me.
 
When I see a new video done by you, Fast Biker Boy, or Zo, its like Christmas in July; I  can't wait to open it up and start learning something.

Totally agree MS, it would be disappointing if Danny contributed less because he feels one particular individual has curbed his enthusiasm for posting.

Understandable maybe.  Disappointing definitely.

I always enjoy reading your posts and have learned a lot from them. All the experts debating, and arguing about, how many angels can fit on the head of a pin are well and good but you're one of the guys who are out there getting things done and are actually producing music worth listening to. I respect that. Just my two cents.

See, now I feel like I've pissed over everyone's fireworks just for re-iterating the multi-band capability peculiar to TransX, despite my reassurances to Danny about him being bang on target and the importance of grasping the concept of single-band Transient Shaping as opposed to compression which Danny had demonstrated and highlighted really well here.

How did that happen?
