See, now I feel like I've pissed over everyone's fireworks just for re-iterating the multi-band capability peculiar to TransX, despite my reassurances to Danny about him being bang on target and the importance of grasping the concept of single-band Transient Shaping as opposed to compression which Danny had demonstrated and highlighted really well here.

How did that happen?

Nah don't feel that way man. Thank you for the kind words (and you other guys too!)

I just don't feel like seeing this thread revived 5 months down the line with a bogus lecture from someone or me being reprimanded on how I missed the point in the post about Trans X being the issue at hand instead of TransIENT shaper/designer.

They may be similar, but I can't get either of those Trans X plugs to do what that TD does. :)

I don't own TransX I only ever use TD and I concur it's the best one I've come across but all the buzz surrounding TX seems to be about the multiband aspect.

Maybe one day I'll get to demo the multiband to see if I have a use for it in practice, or maybe I'll just set-up the frequency splits and try several TD instances on those.  It seems like a good idea on paper I wonder if anyone currently using it will chime in on it's worth.

I wish I could hire a freaking engineer to record and mix my "stuff" The whole technical aspect of this gives me a headache every time I try to do a new song

I just put up a new one, I worked on it for two months! (recording it) and I mixed it "for days..." And I've already remixed it twice with some significant changes based on input from the songs forum.

I think the whole "black art" of mixing? Requires a special gene or something... And unfortunately? My gene's have whole's in them...
