Nice work, John!   I don't know that I'd change much, tbh, personally I enjoyed the way it is.

About the only mix-nit I'd have is starting around the 3:20 mark where the focus is on the violin (or viola?), it seems to be "closer" than everything else.   But whatever, this is good stuff.

Hey John, very lovely piece.  I really like when the bass section comes in around 1m -- that was surprising and beautiful.  I heard some Brahms type chordings in this one which are very nice.  Say, did you check out the Bartok and Beethoven (in particular the late) quartets?

Very good work.

Thanks so much! I am glad you liked the bass part. I will try to listen to Brahms. I meant to thank you for pointing out the Bartok and Beethoven quartets. I have been listening mostly to the Beethoven so far. I see what you mean, about them. I really like number 15, but they are all great. I have only scratched the surface so far with the Bartok quartets, but I will be listening to them too. Thanks again for the kind words!

John

Brahms is da bomb

Thanks, I will check him out too!

Thanks! I really appreciate the time you took to listen and to comment. I am really happy that you liked it. I don't know much about mixing yet, I have started to use compression and have played around with the reverb. The EastWest Cloud composer X that I use is supposed to offer three mike positions but, I haven't been able to get them to work yet. But again, I really appreciate the time and the feedback.
