Hi Peeps,

I know I'm going to be pushing it with this one... It weighs in at a hefty 14 minutes and it's more in the vein of incidental noises with just a hint of tone here and there.

I guess you would have to be familiar with early Tangerine Dream (Zeit/Atem) to be even remotely interested in this.

But I have to post this because it represents a big step for me in terms of the creation process and I want to shout out about it.

No pressure then, I totally understand if this doesn't get any listens or comments

I had already done a couple of collaborations with two separate SoundCloud artists. I asked them if they fancied doing a three way collaboration. We agreed to create and share two ten minute tracks each. No formal agreements were made as to the content of the tracks... No BPM or song key (as strange as that may sound for something like this).

For my version I dragged all six tracks into Sonar and then went ahead and added lots of fader automation in order to thin out the cacophony of sound and produce something that now sounds, in places, minimal.

More details of the collaboration can be found on the SoundCloud song page.

So, without further ado, I give you Chimaera (a three headed mythical creature):-

This one has more of a 'horror' vibe to it Andy (if you don't mind me saying) - some quite eerie moments.
An amazing soundscape.

Hi Daryl,

......what I mean is that I always see video with your stuff. I usually see sci-fi/space related. This one would be great for a horror/thriller.

This is a great atmospheric piece Andy and friends, floating, skimming, in a state of suspended motion, looking in to a large, dark rectangular monolith that was fall of stars and then............

Brilliant stuff Andy definitely worthy of

Ah! Right... Got that Daryl

I'm still on the lookout for a film producer willing to let me loose on something... I have a musical friend who is always knocking out film scores for all sorts of movie genres... Perhaps I ought to rekindle that acquaintance

cheers

It sounds like a good backdrop for a space movie or sci fi thriller.

Hi Scott, yeah... seems I have a knack for this kind of stuff

Thanks so much for listening to one of my "tunes" (I use that term in the loosest sense of course )

cheers

As I was listening I got an image of the dawn of man scene from "2001", where the mysterious monolith drops in on a group of pre-humans. I hadn't read any other comments before listening so kind of interesting that Wookie apparently made a similar connection.

You could probably make a slide show or video using NASA images of space objects (which I think are free) and put your compositions on the sound track. Just an idea.

Thanks for sharing.
