Not exactly what you might call cheap, but he'll never get any nearer. 90 min drive from here, easy parking, great Italian restaurant nearby, and it's on a Sunday

Lucky I saw it pop up on FB this morning cos I'm off work - by the time I'd remembered my log-in details for the venue there were only 6 seats left in the circle!
 
It's a nice venue, been there a few times. Not really a 'bad seat' anywhere and the sound is excellent.

I hate having to get tickets that far ahead, the waiting just kills me!

My wife also wants to see him live.......and she's not that much into rock music. So, he must be good!!

That's the most important thing to me....excellent sound!! I've seen a lot of great bands that played in terrible arenas (sound wise) and that took away the moment.  

Excellent and not too far away, it looks like these days Cardiff is my closest option for most of the "big" shows, a good two and half hours away, which is usually enough to put off most of the people who may have come with me.
 
I got tickets for Richard Thompson in Bristol in October and of course BBT in London in September, I bought those tickets a good year in advance, its a long wait!

He's playing here next month at a large outdoor venue, but I passed on that and got tickets to see him in November at a small historic theater in Ithaca NY. I'll post a review for ya James.
