I bought a couple of leather chairs this weekend at Office Depot.  So far, so good.

I have one but don't use it ... the cords or something made it difficult.
 
I have a guitar chair and drummer chair ... also a leather couch.
 
My office chair is latticed ... not too bad on the back ... nor too hot.  I swivel and can play the fantom x on my left side or sing while sitting.
 
(Note when I sing while sitting, I oft remember to throw a coat or something over the keyboard to prevent early reflections since the mic hangs over the keyboard.

I use two different chairs in the studio One at the desk is a adjustable padded office chair with arms super comfy for long hours. For playing I  use padded bar stools no arms. increased height is nice for playing. I work from the studio so the office chair my butt is in for 9 hours a day got to stay comfy

Ok, you guys have given me a strong imperaitive to fix the hard wooden kitchen chair I currently use... My problem is my pitbull mentality in the studio. I will hang on... And in the end? When I do get up? Well, it can't be good for you in the long run? Next check for sure, something nice for the tusshy :-) Glad to hear that others like to pamper their postierors as well!
