Michael/Royal,
This one is heavy but fun ride.  I like the varied tones of the vocals, it works well to my ear.  Driving guitar, bass and drums are nice and sounded well on my system.  No real crits on this, it just freakin rocked!  Nice job on this one.

Thanks a lot for the response! There has been a minor redo in the works, it sounds a bit warmer and the vox have been dropped just a bees whisker. I'll post it up when it's done.

I enjoyed the guitar...great tone...
and this mix seems to be in a better place...is
this a "fixed" mix?  I didn't get to hear it before now...

Cheers Larry! This is still the orig. Mike has done a few tweaks, so far it's sounding a bit warmer and I think the space is a better. I'll post it up when it's done.

I'm in the disagreement camp with everyone above Lars. What you have is spot on for the genre (IMO).
Great mix.

Haha and now we've gone and messed with it... Thanks for listening and replying!

This genre is tough to mix. But I hear everything, so it works. Could use a eq cut in a lot of places to enhance the elements, but it needs more low end. You can sing.

Yeah... I liked it.   Hits hard from the start and never really lets up.   As it should be.

It was a little thin on the bottom end, but otherwise I think it suits the genre.

I don't know what I heard, which version, improved or original . . . but I'm with Bapu in that the basics are covered mix-wise. I don't think a re-polish is needed at all, mostly because those who will headbang to this don't want it too pretty, they aren't marveling at the separation of instruments with surgical eq techniques.

They want a heavy rage quotient and spittle in their face. You've got it - mission f%^&$#g accomplished.

Sorry I've been away for a bit. Cheers for listening! I believe the mastering chain has been changed now and there's a bit more space, warmth and oomph in it. Oh and thanks for referring to my screeches as singing btw! 😆

Thanks for taking the time to listen Steve! The new mastering chain has a bit more thud in it and the snare was swapped for a sound with a pinch more crack to it.

As a vet Metal/Thrash Heavy disciple back in the day.....I agree it's in the pocket....a la Testament, Slayer...etc.   Sounded right on my cans....maybe would like a tad more low end but I think for overall playback ref sources you got it.   I like your "Fortunes Fading" as well ....very cool   Thx for sharing  ;o)
