to all you guys, Phil, Tom, David, James, Ed, Warren,Larry and Allan, thanks very much for the comments and support. i don't know if i will ever have the time to do this again (hello work and children) but it's been a big ambition that's been realised.

Congrats on your debut CD Mark!  I just finished listening to the assault of Samson Agonistes and man, it comes with a serious can of whup-ass!  My only crit is you should retitle the subject header of this thread to say "my debut album is out".  You are a big contributor to this community and have helped many of us with our mixes, and celebrated our CD launches.  It is only fitting that you would share this happy moment with everyone, loudly and proudly.

So here is an interesting twist in my life that connects to what you do.  I just remarried back in May.  My wife's youngest niece and her boyfriend now live a few hours from us.  He is into black/death/whatever label you want to give it metal...big time.  He likes a wide variety of music but this genre (genres?) seems to really do it for him.  So that being said, I think your CD would make a great Christmas gift for him and so I just ordered one.  Thanks!

Best wishes with the new CD!

wow that's very kind Tony. I had a message from Steve (the label boss) who was very excited by an order from the USA today. i hope he enjoys it!

Not my favorite genre, but still I listened this few times. Interesting composition with varied parts and strong ambiance. Good guitar sounds.  Well done.

Anyone with a job and kids who can persevere and put out a cd of any genre deserves the utmost of respect and kudos. Seriously, how ridiculous is the prospect of spending 5,7, or even 10 years cobbling together enough 45 minute sessions (subject to interruption as they may be) late on some worknight, in the hopes of piecemealing an album together? I mean, who would do that? How driven, and why?

Which is why, whenever I hear a "legitimate" typically younger music star in any genre start to winge on a talk show about how arduous their "process" was in the studio, I want to vomit.

rant off! nice work bruh.

Nicely done... I'm used to listening to this kind of stuff, so no problem there.

Great stuff! Kept my interest up throughout. Great chord at the end, too!
Congrats on the album, and best of luck with it.

Congrats!   It has to feel good.

Yeah, that was some fairly extreme stuff.  I liked how you alternated the two main sections but kept the rhythm incessant throughout until the choir breakdown.  The drummer must have been exhausted after all that.
