That guitar looks a lot like my first real guitar! A '76 Les Paul in the "Play that funky music white boy" burst.
Craig , the only other 2 Gibson Les Pauls that I have ever owned were from the mid 70's ...they may have been 76's
One was a 3 pickup Black Beauty 57 reissue . The other was a 56 ? Gold Top reissue w 2 P 90's
Our Friend James here on the forum plays a 1976 Les Paul Standard if I'm not mistaken .

Great guitars
The guitar in the pic is my Gibson Historic R 8 VOS Plain Top...as per my sig ...
My poor guitar got clobbered while making that pic

The building where that pic was shot were moving out a full recording studio that day .
Dumb A$$ me thought it was my lucky day when I wound up getting in a freight elevator with her .
The next thing you know the elevator broke down between 2 floors and we were both stuck in there for hours ..
Since the elevator had green padded moving blankets all over the place.. I was able to Photoshop the background of that pic to where it looks like we were both on stage ...
If you look closely at her face you will see that she is not in Rapture while we jam ...it is quite the opposite ..
She is praying for her life while elbowing me and poking me to death with her bow trying to keep me out of invading her personal space ....
The sad thing is I never had gotten the chance to play with Tina ...

The only autograph I have of her now is on the restraining order I just got served with
