Hi All,

Check out this new MIDI keyboard from Nektor:  http://www.nektartech.com/Impact-iX49-iX61
It has a slim foot print with minimal controlls, but has features most used with a couple that do what many SONAR users have been seeking (eg. transpose by semitones and patch changes).  The 49 keys is $100 and the 61 keys is $120.  What is even more interesting is the integration with SONAR (among other known DAWs).

Kind regards,

Impact iX keyboards are USB class compliant and therefore don't require a driver to operate. So installation and connection is easy;
just plug the keyboard in to a USB port on your computer.

Oh oh, I tend to avoid products that have that claim. So we'll wait and see.  Both my Roland Keyboard and Yamaha Drums came with USB / MIDI drivers.

Nice looking, perfect size, looks about the same as my Roland A49 with just a few missing buttons ( I don't use them anyways)
A bit cheaper too, mine was $130 for 49 keys.

Also we'll have to see how it feels under the fingers. Most I tried in a store felt like toys with a light weight plastic keys. The Roland feels solid like an old synth from the 80's.

It looks really good for a basic keyboard.  I will wait for a hands on review.  Price is right!

I briefly looked at the ix61 but when I found out it does not support aftertouch I quit looking but tough to beat that price.

I just ordered the NI Komplete Kontrol S61 and will be curious to see how it makes out. It is currently back ordered so it may be awhile.
