I totally understand what you are trying to accomplish. Yes, the thread was very old, and off topic, but sometimes we who visit here like a wee-bit of fun! You, and everyone who work at Cakewalk do a fantastic job monitoring the forum, and producing the program that I love and have been using for over twenty years, but locking the thread with so much 'Sonah' history, seems a bit harsh. I know you are just trying to make the forum a great place to visit, and learn, and I appreciate it.

I didn't read the whole thread, but the few pages I read seemed to be very friendly/fun in nature (at least no personal attacks and/or hostility towards each other).
 
I personally think if it's not doing any harm, and a lot of the members are enjoying contributing to the thread, it should be kept open.

That thread no longer belonged in the Sonar forum. It wasn't helpful/ no Sonar questions were being asked or answered. He probably could have moved it to the coffee house or another part of the forum but the thread got WAY off topic. Sure that's fun but some of the comments became a little strange as well.
