Hi, I'm new to this and hvae just got a quadcapture. I'm trying to record my guitar into a track and monitor what I'm playing at the same time. I'm getting a really annoying "echo" effect from the played back guitar and the metronome is similarly out of sync. It's fine when I monitor the audio through the computer - no latency at all. Just when I output the audio through the quad capture. I am using mixcraft 6. I am not using the USB cable that came with the quad capture as I bought it pre owned - could a poor USB cable be causing this issue? Thanks in advance

when I use the ASIO for the quad capture the latency is significantly reduced. It only seems to happen when using asio4all. I suppose the solution is to not use asio4all. Still, anyone got any ideas whats going on?

You should avoid installing or using ASIO4ALL if you have a factory supplied driver. I doubt the USB cable is the issue. It sounds like you are describing the echo heard when monitoring input directly and through the DAW at the same time. If you intend on monitoring the interface input directly, do not echo the track back from the DAW.
