Noel Borthwick [Cakewalk]
I got a notification from RME that their newest driver reduces delays in USB mode when changing audio settings in SONAR. I have verified this to be the case with the RME UFX.

Thanks for the announcement, but they better be better than 1.050 whatever those were.
Although no error rates, I went back to earlier drivers because of clicks and pops that were not there with the earlier drivers like 1.038. Never mind that I do not need the setting for WDM devices because all that does is cut out inputs and outputs in Windows like they do not exist. It just does not take that long for Windows to do anything and I like to see the entire setup even if I am not using the ADATs.

I suggest people keep some older drivers around, just like I found out, just in case. Even without errors it was just plain annoying always seeming as if something was wrong, and the earlier drivers just did not do that.

Bump.

I use RME UFX.
Arming many tracks at once is very fast with the newest drivers.
