Is this theme from the Goldberg Variations?  Do I have to get a license for it?

This is interesting:

all the music that was published in the Soviet Union before 1973 used to be in the public domain because the US and the Soviet Union had no copyright relations. Not anymore. Works by Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Khachaturian, and others have had their copyright restored.

Is it the theme from Batman?

Sorry, I'm somewhere I can't get to listen.
Hum it and I'll see if I can place it

Wait, is it a Moody Blues theme?  It's on the tip of my tongue.  I know I'm gonna feel stupid when somebody finally tells me.

the 6 note beginning of the theme in string part is same from:
Stravinsky, Rite of Spring, Games of the Rival Cities, 2nd Theme

theme starts coming in at the 12:00 min mark in below video, the strings play it at 12:16:

I found this:
"Boosey & Hawkes, bought the rights to "Rite of Spring" from the composer in 1947."

Mike, excellent catch.  But that's not what's haunting me.  That middle melody is borrowed from 1.  a goldberg variation 2. mozart symphony or derivative (eric carmen used alot of classical ideas). 3.  or some other pop tune.  If it's from one of the first two I'm ok I think.  I don't want to be considered a gauche composer.  :D:D

So I've decided to name it *smoke signals* and I'm dedicating it to Dave003.  Here it is so far :D:D:D:

I can't help identify it, but I do very much like goldberg.  You always pick some great sounding samples, the bass especially.

I like the way you compose, always very interesting. Why no fade out sooner?  Was that intentional?  Is there more to go over the top of that last drawn out drum section?

Keep up the great work.
