Ok seems people are getting excited about the new Adaptive Limiter and all. With all of that being discussion it reminded me about an older program which does the same in a way. It uses reference audio, creates a filter from the some magic maths and applies the results to your own recording.

It matches EQ, loudness and allows you blend the original with the amendments. Anyone else using this or something similar?

i use har bal.

not for volume balancing, or eq balancing.
only for eQ of stereo files before mastering.

best EQ i've found.

i have found,
that for most people looking for ANSWERS,
har bal is not it.

most people think they can take their own mixes, and match them against other pro mixes...
but every mix is so unique, that whenever you match one particular specific frequency and level to something else,
you may very well change the DNA of the song to such a degree, that you lose the uniqueness of your own mix.

but for beginners, it's an exceptional tool, to learn frequencies, and to figure out how to mix closer to a professional mix, thru mostly trial and error.

Har-Bal promises more than it delivers. It's a helpful learning aid for beginners, though.

I also still use Harbal for reference to see the EQ curve.  It is a nice sanity check to make sure I don't have any massive gaps or spikes, and the EQ when used is very nice.
