I've been using these color markers for several years. Prob saw it on that video...
I used to have to 'mute' this color track to not have it sound.
 
What I do now is put 1 midi note in the clip, then drop the volume down to zero. As I copy/paste that clip for different sections of the song, I'll change the background/foreground colors via the inspector. Never have to mute again.
 
Chord track! Love it and will incorporate  in the future. Just too hard to see chord symbols as a name for a marker.

yea i know, but its better than nothing :)
problem is, when i scroll down i no longer see my top 2 tracks :)

I agree that's the weakest link in the process - I asked Cake to create "header" tracks a while ago - you could designate your two tracks as "header tracks" which would stay at the top of each view like headers in a word document. The arranger track idea would obviously be a better solution. nice idea to use the chord track too.

I clone the 'color' track and move it to the bottom of all the other tracks so I have 2 of them.
I can now move it around in TV to fit the view of tracks I'm working on. Hide when not needed.
Original one stays on top.
