Just been enjoying this version of Steve Reich's 2x5 III.Fast by Vakula. I love music with a danceable beat which is also harmonically interesting.

I'm having an anti-Bill Nelson night with all sorts of interesting stuff like Yngwie Malmsteen and Opeth!

There've been so many great renditions of this old favorite, but this is one of the best. It's also one of the best examples of vocal mixing I've ever heard. Keep in mind that there are no instruments; the Hans Zimmer-like percussion is all handclaps and footstomps with expert compression and great-sounding reverb.

I think that's from 'Rock Goes to College', great little series. I seem to remember watching a repeat of this on a Sunday morning after a serious Saturday night out. Probably blew away the cobwebs..
