Oh, buddy, you got me!!! This is wild, wonderful and blues!! I can't say anything because my vocabulary isn't good enough to tell you how excellent I think this is. Who is playing on it? Is there somewhere I can download this? It will make a great addition to my workout collection. I hope it comes on when I am ready to quit. It would get me another few minutes of work! Love this one! Oh, yes, I am in Denver and I am wondering "how did I get here"?
Thanks so much! You can download it from my Soundclick page (link in my sig)

Very cool - some lurverly pianner playin and the mix is spot on (disclaimer - listening on crappy speakers)
Thanks Daryl! The mix that was up is just a tad too hot imho, I've uploaded a mix that's just a bit less aggressive.

That's what I'm talkin about right there! Even the squealy at 2:05 was a perfect fit
Thanks Bob! Yeah, love them squealies when they're in the right spot!

Oh yeah, that's some good stuff - it's got everything a good blues shuffle needs. If you programmed those piano parts you did a really good job. And of course the guitar is nice and tasty. But so are the vocals and lyrics - spot on IMO. It all makes for a greasy good bar song.
Thanks Steve! LOL, a greasy good bar song about a greasy good bar!

I like this very much. It had me dancing in the studio. You are a very good player. There is a funky volume drop around 1:12 and 2:54.
Personally, I think the organ should be mixed a bit louder. I would also pull back on the piano a bit, and maybe pan everything a little more to the center. But this is some great playing. I remember listening to some of your stuff a long while back. It was good then, I think people were comparing you to Steely Dan, I don't know, maybe my memory is off. Anyway, thanks for the entertainment.

Thanks Jesse! Yeah, the organ part is a bit of a dilemma, I wanted to mix it a bit louder but the tone I use on it (heavy drive a la Steve Winwood on "Gimme Some Loving") made that hard to do, and I didn't want to change the tone.
Comparing me to Steely Dan?! Wow, what a compliment! One of my all time favorites. I hope Donald Fagen never hears that! LOL
Rikkie
