Anybody have any practical experience in comaring the RME Multiface vs the Focusrite 18i6 ?

I bought RME Multiface in 2003 and now, I'm wondering if an "update" would sound better, (Focusrite18i6)

in terms of Sound quality, and latency....

My 2 cents based on what seemed like endless research when I switched from the delta1010 primarily to move from the fading technology of PCI interfaces was this: most if not all interfaces sound pretty good these day but my bookmarked favorites that kept rising to the top for the under 600 dollar price point kept pointing to the following: steinberg interfaces, focusrite forte, motu interfaces and tc interfaces. The new Tascam UH7000 looks "really" good too...
