I've got about as much chance of being directly affected by terrorism as someone living on Nantucket, but I weep at what's happening to the country I grew up in.
I don't know what the answer is, but perhaps a start would be to remove from our streets the 3000 'persons of interest' that are known to the security services, and have them prove that they are not a threat to society.
Talk of 'not letting them in' or 'sending them back to where they came from' is useless rhetoric, these are not refugees in disguise, they're not terrorists arriving from other countries, they are British citizens, born here.
If we don't do something drastic, and soon, it won't be knives or ramming into people in vehicles, it'll be automatic weapons.
