Hi,
I took an old idea of mine and "redesigned" it a little.
I am not good at mixing. I just record ideas as a hobby.

Hi,

This sounds like a great start to a really cool rocker!

That nice thick wall of heavy guitars are setting a great bed for some vocals or shredding guitar solos to jump in!  Nice and full sounding.

The only thing that distracted me a little bit was having the kick drum panned to the far left.  These days, the bass drum is usually dead center in most mixes, you might want to center it and see what you think, although, it worked for all the 60's bands when everything was recorded for mono AM radio, and of course, when it's your own song, anything goes!

Anyway, very nice work, hope to hear more from you!

Best Wishes,
Bob

Hi, Humanrock and welcome to the songs forum, you need to make a few more posts before you can post a working link.  Just visit some of the tunes here and make comment you will soon hit the magic number.

My first impression of this where is the top end, all the dynamics seem to have been squashed out of it, sounds like you can play and have some good ideas, just the production needs some work.  As I suggested above make some comments on some tunes here, then there is a good chance others will come listen and possibly give you some valuable production tips.

Bob,
Thank you for listening to my recording and for the tipps.
By the way english is not my native language.

I have listened to many of your recordings and I think you have created a uniqe "metal style". I saw you had inspiratins for some of the songs from here and there but I guess the most important part is that you obtained your own style. That is cool!
By the way I am planning to upload some more recordings of mine to soundcloud and I will link them.

I have worked on this track a little bit. I have taken the riff and "reorganized" it and also have done a little key adjustment as well.
Not 100% finished but I have taken a few steps toward it. Lyrics will come soon.

Absolutely great start.

Listen to the bass, does it seem to fill up the lower frequencies around it with mud? The louder your bass is, the more energy it robs from the high end, in effect killing off some of the high end sparkle. I dunno,  I'm not a scientist, I'm a doctor.

Did you put an eq insert on every track? If you play with the bass eq, you'll find you can cut off everything below say 40 hz, and everything above 500 or so hz, and still have a nice sounding bass. Sorry if you know this already, and as for the numbers, your mileage may vary.

looking forward to more of yer stuff.

@Tom
Thanks for listening and commenting and giving ideas. No, I do not know too much about mixing and HZ-s and things. My equipment is limited but I will try to do my best to make my recordings sound the best they can.
Actually I used low strings to "fill up" the bass guitar so that might be one of the reasons for  the muddy thing.
