Wow - great vocal, song, mix ... all of it.

As a personal pref kind of thing, some of the drum hits were a little wide ... but it did work for the tune.

Loved this one, guys! Guitar solo made me think he was going to play the lead to "Something". :)

Dug all the tones on all guitars....harmonica was great, vocals really well done, bass was right where it should be.

Little nit: Drums sounded a little strange with the extreme panning and could be better defined. But I read somewhere you guys had some challenges with that...so disregard.

Bob- Thanks for the comments!  We really appreciate it!

Danny- Thanks for the review, Danny.  I am happy that you liked it.  I had written the Porch Swing verse about 25 years ago and couldn't get any farther.   In 2009 I was leaving a Diamondbacks game and bingo, wrote the rest of the song.  Funny how that happens.  Well I recorded the acoustic guitar parts and harp then asked Mark if he could program the drums.  He usually does drums first so it was a challenge that he really handled well.  Thanks again.  I really liked your guitar leads on Philz's tune!

Loved the answering intro it had room to breathe.

The lead vocal really stands out throughout well mixed.

The drums sound fine they move a little too much around now and again but meh whatever.

Enjoyable listen

Jesse-Thanks for listening and for your story.  That kind of thing makes writing a song worth while.  I posted this song about 9 years ago, it was one of the first Mark and I did together and the first with my sister.  There were great comments on performance and production but I am not sure how many people really listened to the words because I don't remember a lot of comments on them.  I love your story about the lady.  I pray she gets to do what her heart pleases.  I would like some of the corn and to listen to her stories!!!!  Peace, brother!

David- Thanks for listening.  I had to look up au courant and found that to be a very nice compliment.  I think that working with seniors and children are some of the best jobs to give back to society.  Kudos!

I will call her again soon.  She likes wild plums, it is a good year for wild plums.  I think I will need to make jam for her.

Ed- Well, thank you, Ed.  That is nice to hear.

Cian- Eva records into an imac using a Snowball USB mic.  When I get the tracks they are really kinda messy.  Mark really does a great job with what we give him.  We appreciate your comments.  Thanks for listening!!

Jesse- That is great.  Wild plum jam.  Sounds like a loving thing to do for her.  I think she is lucky to have a friend like you.

Warren,

Awesome song on every level.   Eva has an amazing voice, a bit of Karen Carpenter in there.   Great listen.

Hey Warren --- glad to see you are back on the forum.  I don't remember this song but it is a beauty.  Eva really does a great job on the vocals.  I agree it does have kind of a Karen Carpenter phrasing and easy delivery.  The bgv's carry this through. I love the harp in the intro and lead.

Wonderful stuff all the way around .  Mark and you did an outstanding job.
