I guessed as much mate, my No Remorse is quite dreadful production-wise
Here's the Wiki that breaks down the track list(s) and releases...

So I've got the Sanctuary release which has the extra tracks (including the Wendy O stuff).
I mean you may not like it if you are really into vinyl but to me it really brings out the power of the tunes. Good clarity as well compared to other releases. You can actually hear what Lemmy is doing which, due to his hi gain distortion sound, usually gets buried in the guits. The kick drums are POUNDING on it too so great in the car or on a nice hi fi.
You are on to something here Beep. My (remastered) Motörhead CD collection only contains 2 recent 'Deluxe' versions -
No Sleep.. and
Bomber. The others are much older 'first generation' versions - probably poor vinyl-digital copies rather than genuine remasters.
As I say, the Hammersmith CD is excellent. I'll revisit Bomber now I'm aware of the differences and report back.
I take your point about clarity though mate. Although the older CDs definitely seem to have more clarity than the vinyl, they also seem to have this at the expense of any low end. True, Lemmy played bass like a rhythm guitar and the Rick doesn't lend itself to a defined low-end, but on my vinyl LPs, you definitely get the 'feeling' of a bass guitar, albeit distorted and quite heavy on the treble.
Time for me to invest in some newer CD versions I reckon
