Still working on Beatle experiments, I've just finished re-working my first attempt at Now and Then, the last Threetle Track, but today time for a new composition The Rip of the Tide Including Pastoral and The March of the Mind Fascists. A bit of a Floyd style track in 5/4...my favourite time signature, 6/8 and good old 4/4.  I've used varispeed in a different way in parts of the track, including to play the arpeggiated guitars in the 6/8 section or Pastoral, and I've also used varispeed to create ritardo and accelandro type effects...by keeping the same pitch but slowing and speeding stuff still.

Enjoy Ben

This took me to another space.  About 3:30 it's a little TOO PF, but at 3:40 you start making it your own again, so I guess it's ok.  Imitation is flattery, so why not?  Whenever I hear songs like this I'm immediately taken to a stadium or big open space.  I enjoyed it thanks.

Ben, reading your post is like going to the science library.  I read and read and don't have a clue what I read.  That's how it is when I read this.  LOL!  This is very interesting.  Just changed time.  Man, this is different.  I expect that from you though.  It is something I am going to listen to again when it is dark outside and totally quiet.  You ARE a madman!

You wait till I post my next piece of video art...I make the wind in trees hum, and even picked up a ghost on a field recording.   Using granular synthesis, and avant-garde techniques lol ;)/

Peace and thanks Ben

Thanks, yea...it's my attempt to replicate Pink Floyd in places useing digital techniques...if I can replicate The Floyd and The Beatles, then it's a moot argument some make in the record business that it costs too much to make a record...I did this track in 4 days :).

Thanks for listening

Peace Ben

Very well done, Ben.  Your work is invariably interesting and thought provoking.  You're certainly ambitious interms of the projects you tackle, and that is quite admirable.

Thanks Phil and Daryl, sorry I'm not a better supporter of the forum.  Find it so hard to get out of my comfort zone these days.  I suppose that's why I make the crazy music I do, it's what I want to listen to.  Don't know if that's sad or cool lol.

Peace Ben

This is the kind of music that I think would be fun to play live.

Amen to making the kind of music you would want to listen to. By this, you have achieved success in music . . . I liked your inventions, innovations and inspirations.

The ride cymbal could be a little less flangy, more pristine? Curse you, Soundcloud  transmogrifiers!

cheers,
