Also I'm using a brand new custom built ADK system Processor: Intel Core i7 6700 Skylake 3.4 Ghz (turbo 4GHz) Quad 8 meg cache , Microsoft Windows Professional 10 64 Bit OEM, RAM: 8 Gigs (2x 4 Gig) DDR4 2666 1.25V
Thanks Dave
IIRC, the Gold Bundle is a bunch of individual VSTs. Some
may tax your system. If you're using everything that Waves lists in the Gold Bundle, you'll definitely be bogging down your 8Gb of RAM.
Your best bet would be to buy more RAM (i've got 16 and almost never get the stutters). Otherwise, increase your buffer settings. This adds a little delay to the processing, so that the VSTs don't have to react so quickly.
Increasing the buffer will make it harder to record live instruments, which is the trade-off. So minimize the processing when you're recording, and lower the buffer. Then, when you're using Synths or mixing, add the VSTs at that point and increase the buffer to accommodate.
