Last week I had a "health scare."  Let's call it that, since I am not yet ready to repeat how the Dr explained what it MIGHT have been.

Over the years, I've quit smoking dozens of times.  I started smoking 30 years ago.  A decade ago I stopped for 5 years, and then fell off the wagon for another 5 years of pack-a-day smoking.

Along comes "health scare,"  and as of the minute I walked out of that hospital I am more sure than ever in my life that I won't have another cigarette.

Yeah, good for you Matt!!

My dad smoked 2 packs a day for some 30 years and gave up cold turkey (after the Docs told him he was a ticking bomb). He lived for another 25 years (smoke free), so here's to your good health!!

Cheers!!

Congrats on the decision.  I'm working on my 6th smoke free now.

I really do feel better and the doctors have finally quit blaming everything on cigarettes.

Thanks guys.
I remember feeling better after a few years of not smoking, and apparently i've got the toxins out of my system.  Now it's just a matter of remembering not to grab a cigarette along with my keys and wallet.  Or to go outside after a few drinks.
