Another older (2012) song I wrote, with the lovely and talented Jane Siskind singing lead vocals.  She wanted to sing about lack of communication in a relationship, and this is what we came up with.  Enjoy, and as always, comments and critiques are most welcome.

Nice tune, vocals come across well. I think the mix had a lot of upper end sparkle, and maybe too much in spots. You might try the piano eq'd with a little lower eq bump? On the other hand, the piano is super clear in the mix. Maybe duck it a little when she is singing?
 
I think you need more tasteful lead guitar noodling in this. Just in spots.
 
Linda Ronstadt/Carly Simon/Carole King are some very favorable comparisons I could make, nice composition here.

I've written over 50 songs in the past 4 years, so for me a song from 2012 is many songs ago.

Nice clear and crisp mix.  Vocals sound great, and the hook + underlying chord changes are really catchy.   I agree with Tom about the "sparkle" - it almost seems like a bit much in spots, but I'd be hesitant to change it since for whatever reason it seems to work well for the song.   Happy, bouncing song with a happy, sparkly mix.   

Thanks for your comments and suggestions Steve.  I'm going to work on remixing and EQing it.  As well as experimenting with added a little lead guitar to fill in some of the blank spots.

Thanks much!   Yeah I always tend to put too much reverb or delay on everything.  I have an aversion to the dry, dead studio sound.   Probably have to find a happy medium.  Tape a big sign on my monitor "LESS VERB!"

I don't know, I like the reverb on her voice. Everything else seems fairly dry, so I don't think it is overdone.
