I know this belongs in the Sonar forum but.....

I have an announcement to make:

Drum roll. This evening I became the proud owner of a Lava Lamp. A very kind gesture from the missus. She knew my creativity needed a boost; and what better way to lift the mood than a lava lamp.

Congrats, but I do envy you.......I've still to get one.

Shirley, it'll be an improvement for your creative process.......until I saw the Dr. Blake Mysteries, I didn't know there existed places like Ballarat (my kind of town).

What are the various codes I need to add before and after to load the image in the picture instead of just the URL?

As you can see I worked it out.

You just have to hi-light/copy the link and then paste it in the "Insert/Edit Image".

BTW, nice lamp.....now, I'm really green with envy.

I doan need a lava lamp. The sounds emanating from my studio are so hot they might just be pure lava.

Everyone needs a lava lamp. One of Britain's most important contributions to all things psychedelic, and still made by Mathmos, who invented them back in 1963.

Me I've always wanted a really big one like in the photos under the Festival Hall tab at http://www.mathmos.com/special-projects.html. Mind you I'd hate to knock it over...

I'm still agonizing over the selection process. In the 60's it was easy: one model, one color. On the one hand, I like the traditional red. OTOH, those 27"-tall sparkly ones are pretty cool, too. Now, to make the decision even harder, lavalamp.com lets you design your own!

I would like to use one on stage, to illuminate my synth's black buttons on black background. Can anyone suggest a way to mount one to a mic stand (other than duct tape)?

I'm thinking this might work:

I think that would work, but what a great question to ask someone like K&M "Hey, what do you have to mount lava lamps to my mic stand?"
