MC6 -  iam trying to edit a midi track by adding a couple of notes and it is a while since I used this function - the last time was in Sonar or CPA9. I cant seem to do it in MC6 - there is no option available. Any ideas? Thanks

Try the Piano Roll view. Other ways are the Staff view and Event List

Hi - it is the piano roll view i am using but there is no facility (no icons) that allow adding notes. Unless i am missing something. CPA9 which i used for many years was simple to use in that respect.

No drawing tool in the PRV toolbar?

I cant find a drawing tool anywhere. But beagles video shows how to 'paint' or drop in individual notes. It s not the same or as easy to use as the old draw tool in CPA9 but I guess it will do.

Thanks Guys

Up at the top to the right of the box with the star in it is a pencil tool, used to insert notes.

Sorted thank you so much. I have no idea why the edit buttons are on the main menu and not in the PRV menu though :-)

I've always preferred the STAFF view. Having been taught as a child to read musical notes on the staves, it just seems more natural to me.

Finding the buttons to add, delete, and use the other editing functions may take a bit of poking around.... or... hit F1 to bring up the help menu. I've used HELP more than a few times to find the buttons in a new version of the DAW....

I think the bakers actually like hiding things in the new versions.
