Not from Cakewalk... and not from Tascam... But for Sonar
Bidirectional Web based interface is in development. The idea is not replace already existing powerful Mackie apps (like TouchDAW) but add a "touchscreen" of any web capable device (Android, Apple, etc.) to display information for normal keyboards/DPs. To see strip/act parameter names, modifiers states, now time, marker or something else (in fact freely configurable). It is going to be interactive in terms of "buttons", for transport and other (freely configurable) actions.
The goal: attach a tablet or phone ($50 - $200) to any controller ($100-$300) to get Sonar dedicated "control surface with 4'' - 10'' touch sensitive hi resolution display".
While it is not a part of this project, in case someone manage to route the controller USB in/out throw the device (one obvious solution is Windows Tablet with rtpMIDI), that DIY solution is going to be "true wireless".
