Hi, I'd like to ask some help with Rapture Session and Poly Synth page.

It happens that when I launch RS for the first time and click on Instrument button I can see the Poly Synth page, but I can't see the 50 presets of the current update.

I've checked out on Cakewalk Content Folder and I saw the Poly Synth presets on Rapture Session folder, but it seems RS is reading Rapture Pro folder.

Actually, I was using Rapture Pro on demo mode, but after that I uninstalled it via Windows Control Panel, however RP still appears on CCC with the yellow light, and with update 2 on the description.

Is there someone else with this issue?

Best regards

Hi, this issue seems to be solved! : )

I don't know why but RS was reading Rapture Pro folder, so I changed this folder's name, forcing RS to read its own presets first, and Rapture Pro as an expansion pack.

By the way thanks to the Bakers for these nice presets!

Best regards

Good catch... that seems like a RS bug! Glad you like them.

RS bug or not I'm fine with it reading the Pro presets, so I just copied the Poly Synth presets to the Pro Presets folder... This also makes them available to Rapture Pro (nice), but Pro doesn't have thumbs and background instrument images for Poly Synth in it's resource folder but will load the Poly Synth preset (same engine). So out of curiosity I copied images to the Pro resource folder, but the instrument tab still won't display the type. Question are the instrument types hard coded for each plugin??

For those of us visually challenged people, it's in:

Bank = Rapture Pro Factory Library
Type = Poly Synth
Select from the patches in the Program column

And for those of us with cognitive dissonance, the bank, type, and patches appear as normal in the appropriate columns for Rapture Pro, when the Poly Synth presets are included in the Rapture Pro presets folder, i.e. under the tabs: Bank, Type and Program... but the Info tab shows the "No Instrument" thumbnail & in the  Perform Section under the Instrument tab it does not show the instrument background image or the instrument control knobs despite the images being manually copied to the Rapture Pro resource folder! So the question still stands: "Are the instrument types hard coded for each plugin?" viz a viz these images. Being rude is not being smart, and in this case no help at all...

Wait a minute.  Are there are different presets in Rapture Session than what are included in Rapture Pro?

A little flame to make me feel better - I am having issue with Rapture Pro. When I install the expansion packs (for example Gibosn Collection) That collection does not show up as a bank the way my E-Mu packs show up. I have been working with a Cakewalk representative but it is clear he does not have experience with the software. He also says he does not have the Gibson Collection expansion Pack in order to help me.  The Cakewalk tech keeps thinking I want the picture to show up, I have not installed it yet, etc.  I have even taken screen shots to show him my issue.  It is amazing that a Cakewalk support tech that represents Rapture-Pro exclusively, does not have all the associated software. Here is is latest (not helpful) response in regards to the Gibson expansion pack:

"To be honest i don't know if there is a picture supposed to show up or not coz i don't have this bank to try. What i  propose is to download again if it is not too heavy and re-install.
Please let me know how it goes.
Best regards,

I have Pro and don't have any intention of installing Session if I don't have to.  It would really be lame if I had to install Session to get a few presets.

The Poly Synth presets were included with the current (at time of posting) update for Rapture Session. They will also be included with the next update for Rapture Pro. You will not need to install Rapture Session if you don't mind waiting a bit.
