It does seem to have more an 80's-ish vibe vs. country rock, but for what it is it sounds pretty good here. There are a few around these parts I could picture singing over top of this...

I wouldn't call this country rock. It's more of a cross between that 80s stuff like Ah Ha and the softer hair band stuff.

I think it's a great bit of tunage, it just needs some vox.

I was just going to say it could use the Ah Ha video that was famous back in the 80s!!
This tune is ripe for maybe even female lead vox? It's catchy

Have to agree that neither version sounds like country rock to me, the second versions sounds better here. will keep the furry lugs out for the next iteration.
