I recently signed up for the IK Multimedia email list to get their latest news and sale announcements.  I currently don’t own any of their products and figured this would be a good way to find out about them.  But for signing up I received an offer to download several of their intro software packages for free.  Here is what I got:

AmpliTube 3 Custom Shop (3.15.0.c)
AmpliTube Custom Shop (4.2)
SampleTank Custom Shop (3.6.7)
SampleTank Free (2.5.5.b)
T-RackS Custom Shop (4.10)

I downloaded all of these but have not installed any one of them yet.

I would like to know from those of you who use any of these, are they worth it?  I don’t want to go through the installation process, putting new files all over my computer and then regretting it.  Thanks for all of your input.

AmpliTube 3 Custom Shop (3.15.0.c)
AmpliTube Custom Shop (4.2)
^^^ both have usable bits

SampleTank Custom Shop (3.6.7)
SampleTank Free (2.5.5.b)
^^^ again, both have usable bits in them.  2.5 is x32 and I don't recall if the 2.5 libs are included in 3/CS.  If not, you can install 2.5, then import the sounds into 3/CS.  This way you won't have to fumble around with the x32 version.

T-RackS Custom Shop (4.10)
^^^ IIRC, there is a nice metering plug and some nice 'verbs in this one

So, yes, as ccLarry said ... the price is right!!

I think it's a good way to sample  IK. The basic free programs are good demos with some decent usable sounds. This is how I got started with IK.

And once in a while they'll throw some additional freebies in there, like AmpliTube Metallipack a week ago:
