When I lived at Lowry AFB outside Denver, it snowed on the first weekend in May. Had to march to and from class in that stuff.

in my Geo area it was just a mild sunny 68 ....

There is one ski area open and it's "little" Arapaho Basin", "The Legend"
Everybody and their dog are trying to get there any way they can.
As for me and my wife, not but 4 miles from A-Bay, are just hanging out in the cabin,
with a Keureg, fireplace, crochet and Sonar are riding the storm out.
 
When I see the sun again, I'll come outside.
We're hoping to go to the dragstrip in Denver on Saturday but that may not happen.
 
This winter was this way, nothing till December, then every snowstorm brought a foot.
It's not odd to have a little snow in May but in was all melted and we we.re mowing the lawns. Then we just got 3 feet in one day.

Winters in Britain are T shirt weather for me, except for the rain or snow.
 
When I was concerned about this and asked my GP, she just said 'well everyone is different'. I must be a penguin.
