drums sound...well rubbish tbh. like a halfway house between acoustic and electronic.
everything else is of course superb. you get such a good tone on the guitars.

lo fi, kinda street beat, exactly as you describe..
because the song that follows it, has big meaty drums, so as an album opener, it sorta brings the listener in a bit, they don't get to adjust before the 1st 'real' song comes on, and does the b!tch slap!

these guitars on THIS particular song, were different than all the rest..
i had in house at the time, a small Peavey joe Satriani 5w tube amp, called the Mini Colossal, which i know he used to record a bunch of tracks on an album of his....
it had a direct box/cab filter built into it, with a XLR out....
i used THAT to capture these guitar tones....
and found i really did dig it.
