I bought an Omnisphere patch library once, but I lost it. Oh, it's in there somewhere, among the 9,000 other patches...

Heheh I use a lot of The Unfinished, PluginGuru, Audiority and Holo. The search engine in Omni helps a lot to find the sounds I'm looking for. Especially being able to find similar sounds.

I have Omnisphere I but I didn't upgrade to the Deuce. I think it's like $150 - does it really have more amazing stuff worth the $150?

Or if I need the modern synth/trance/elec drum stuff, would I be better off buying sylenth or such?

Or am I getting too old for this?

Plug in Guru's libraries for O2 are on a plane none of the O2 patches achieve... the Airwave, OMG, and endless others are absolutely priceless, as are Skippie's instructional videos which must totally more than 40 hours by now will blow you away.  Every library video will teach you IMPORTANT stuff.

Omnisphere is by far the most significant single piece of kit EVER created.

The Guru's library's for O2, which add samples, effects setups, multis, arps, and so much stuff you've never imagined are just as significant... and take O2 to an entirely NEW level.

Skippy does frequent 25 and up percent off sales... he's very generous. For example, right now he has a 40 percent off holiday/tax sale on 15 of  his libraries .  As it's Easter, you have to "find" the hidden gems.... Some of the BEST patch developers on Eaarth now work with him.  The diversity of sounds/musical types/textures/rhythms/drums/poly mind benders run the gamut of musical styles... NO library is redundant.  You wanna sample how far from "base" O2 you can go?  Check out Airwave 1 and the recent Airwave 2 libraries... friggin on another planet... at least 4 vids on these two efforts alone.

Use this code when checking out

M4RN3WS ....that will save you 10%
and NOW you have even more to spend "elsewhere"

Doesn't work - "code cannot be be used against this product"

Thanks for all the replies everyone; I think I've been convinced to go with the bundle. Does O2 work smoothly in Sonar, or are there any hiccups/known issues?

I use Omnisphere 2 extensively on my tracks (soundcloud.com/biodiode)However, there is one little foible with Omnisphere when you come to bounce with audio, even if you route the output of Omnisphere to other audio tracks all 8 come through that one output when you bounce down.

The way round this is to

1) insert the synth without an audio output
2) then insert 8 audio tracks, and
3) route each output A - H to these tracks.

That way when you bounce tracks to audio each output is routed correctly.

They may have excluded it...there are certain products that
won't take the code...so that might be the reason...still a
good price

Sorry, Dave, but where's the commitment behind the purchase?  I gave up eating and sleeping, and scrolled through all the patches in five days time.

Of course, I got delirious and don't remember anything, but I suspect it was glorious.

Antler - Omni2 is great as is. Congrats on getting it. What Vastman says can't be underscored enough. If you get into the pluginguru.com site you'll see how Omni2 goes from being ridiculously great to mind-boggling-ly awesome at a very low extra cost. For folks using only Omni2 and not tapping in to the extra patch sets they are missing out.
