Hi Lee,

I enjoyed listening to this song. The lyrics, especially, I found very interesting and rewarding. They make a really good read, even without the music!

As others have said, the Bob Dylan/Tom Petty sound is there and is a strong focal element. The tempo was also spot on.

Thanks for the nice listen, Lee!

Thanks LJ, I appreciate your comments about my lyrics.  While I consider my vocals the weakest aspect of my songs, I'd say my strongest suit is writing lyrics.  Which I find to be a cruel irony.

This is cool! You sound like a Tom Petty band though your different.

Well done!!!

the mix is nice and airy, you have left plenty of space for each instrument. personally i'd reduce some of the verb on the vocal which sounds like it's been recorded in a different space but it might be an effect you were going for. i would also have the chorused clean guitar a little louder as it's a lovely part. cool.

Thanks for the feedback mgh.  On the first vocal take, I had even more reverb, but cut it back a bit, so I probably need to cut it back a bit more.  I use iZotope's Nectar for the vocals, and it was basically one of their "rock" presets.
Maybe I'll tweak it or find a more suitable preset for the song.  I'll also do some remixing, I agree that guitar part should be a little louder too.  I think that part makes the song.   My natural tendencies are usually to make everything too loud, and the mix ends up sounding too busy.   So maybe I overcompensated too much by not having that part loud enough.   I also tend to always have the drums and bass louder than most people would mix them.
