I admit, I had the same question.
 
Then I thought about coils made of copper wire. Then I thought about how they had to be energized. Then I realized I was more mesmerized than confused... but still quite confused.
 
I went and priced a piece of that tube... $250+ish. So, much for my idea of having one for myself. :-)
