Ok - a little sunshine on this shady (crowdy?) topic:

I have Sample Tank XL and Sinc Synth 2.  I actually liked a number of things about both of these libraries, especially at the time over the other options I had, but the interfaces, especially over time with larger real estate, dual monitors, etc.

That said, I was really happy when they released the Free version with the option to import all the old libraries.  So now I have the 64 bit plugin that has all of my old sounds in it, some new engine capabilities, and (shallowly, most importantly) the mouse wheel works.  So as inefficient as the interface still is, being too small and I suppose a tree view as pointed out above, being able to scroll with the wheel is a tremendous improvement!

Certainly wouldn't expect to have to wait for 10 years for a new somewhat better interface with mouse wheel support.  But for free (without the new sound libraries), I'll take it!

plus the VST3 will completely crash Windows 10 / Studio One.

not in my experience (on both accounts )

I used ST2 for years and purchased ST3 but it crashes every time I use it.  I can't seem to figure it out.  Stopped trying.

quest,
Use the VST dll; NOT the VST3 dll.
I'm surprised that Grim is not experiencing problems with the VST3.
It (the VST3 dll) will not work here (WIN7x64).

Zo if you are after Moog sounds why not just go to the virtual instruments that actually do it and very well. e.g. some form of Arturia product. Sampletank is the last place I would look.

And what about Sonik Synth or SampleTron?

I was considering buying a Moog Little Phatty until I got the xhun Littleone synth a few weeks ago. This one sort of "cured" my GAS for that one (pun intended). And between the Li'l phatty and Minitaur I'd choose the former 'cause the Minitaur architecture is too limited IMHO.

The only problem with LittleOne is that it's only 32 bit. But It worked flawlessly in my system (SPLAT/Win7). And if you don't like this... there's always Monark, Arturia, etc.
