i'm remixing this one now...

i plan on bringing the drums further forward, dialing in the bass freqs better, and getting rid of a bunch of the harmony vocals.
i didn't like the edginess of the electric guitar parts,
and have some ideas about new tracks..

any nits on that, or other mix elements, is appreciated.

Good song!
I wouldn't increase the drums.  A round EQ boost on the lower end would be about the only thing I'd change.  If you're getting rid of the harmony vocals, i'd recommend a quick delay or doubling of the main vocals (Lennon-esque) to keep them from getting too thin.
Other than that, the guitars, vocals, and drums are sitting well.  The bass is pretty good, but i think the EQ could fill it and the kick drum out a little.

gonzo, I'm just going to quit listening to you - you make me want to hang it up. ;-D  This is another great one - what can I say - you've got to be one of my favorite guitar players - anywhere.

HEY SLUGBABY!
thanks for checking it out, i agree with you, about the eq filling out the low end,
but i'm now thinking about re-tracking the bass guitar with a tone that would be closer to geddy lee's tone,
and that would change my entire eq approach!
if i leave the tracks like they are, i'll be focusing on that kick and bass

this is one of my favourite of yours - that Satch (Flyin' era) vs late 80s funk-rock vibe! don't you dare change it!

Yeah, this is awesome as is.  Reminds me a bit of Ronnie Montrose in the electric portion, and Steve Howe with acoustic.  Great high energy drums.   Love the fork in the road photo too.

If i was going to change anything, I would put the vocals in the bridge (2:00 or 2:20 mark or so) through more echo -- but i probably overuse that effect so just ignore me.

Great rocker.  Nice stuff.

This sounds great to me. I wouldn't change anything.

Yeah, I don't think it needs much of anything to be changed.   I liked the guitars just the way they were.   And loved the panned tom runs BTW.

Although...  I would be curious to hear how a Rick tone fits in...

You have a cool voice, Gonzo. Bring it forward for sure.
I would think about adding some room to the drums as they are too dry for my tastes
The distorted guitar at 2:39 or so during the acoustic interlude is rubbing my ears wrong.
And a touch of reverb on the whole thing to add just a wee bit of cohesion.
