Take a trip through the "Funhouse".  I should warn you...you might never come back.

OK, that was a bit different...   Loved those chromatic "circus" lines.  And as per usual everything was performed and arranged so well.    Those backing vocals were too cool as well.

Mix-wise though...   is this mono???

Almost. I might spread it out a bit in future mixes. It's got a very dense spring reverb as an overall ambience. I was seeing how "claustrophobic" I could make it. Good catch:-)

There's a couple more things I was trying to aurally convey. Maybe they'll be caught as well. Fingers crossed.

Should've name it Coffee House, IMO.

It was a roller coaster ride for sure.

I'll give it a shot.
So as I'm listening to that sort of Danny Elfman up-and-down part, I get a picture of a roller coaster and a weird scary funhouse.
So, roller coaster = life's ups and downs?
Fun house mirrors = distorted view of the world?
"it's the culture walking tall" = hmmm, something about Trump?  Ted Nugent?

This kind of reminded me of dissecting Bye Bye Miss American Pie for all the hidden meanings in the lyrics.

One nit: the ending goes on for too long.

All great observations. And yes, the chromatic runs are meant to evoke an amusement park ride and atmosphere. For those of us who are old enough to have actually ridden through a funhouse ride there are several defining sounds. One is the lumbering click and clack of the car on the track as it rambles through the darkened rooms...I tried to have the drums evoke that. Another is the sound of the doors to the different rooms being knocked open by the car and some new "scary" sound or sight coming at you. Toontrack's "Twisted" kit provided lots of stuff to work with there. This is a very old tune of mine that I've wanted to produce out for years. I'll probably tweak it a bit more...as is my never ending custom. As to the end...that too is one of my bad habits. Once I get started I don't know when to stop. I'm a windy sumb-i-t-c-h.
