She's a Knockout Lyrics....

Verse 1:
 Tell ya somethin'
bout a girl I know
She steals the show where ever she goes
She's awfully sexy .... she's awfully sweet
Keep your gloves up or she'll sweep you off your feet

Bridge:
when I look in her eyes, she melts my heart away
I never knew it would be so strong
I'm prayin' she'll stay

Chorus:
She's a Knockout
She'll put you on the canvas tonight
You better watchout
She'll send  you straight to Heaven on a one way flight

Vocal Improv:

Verse 2:
Have ya had enough?
Do you want more?
She's got the moves you just can't ignore
She's irresistible, she looks so cool,
If you're not careful she'll make you out the fool

Bridge:
Chorus:

Nice intro

What Bapu said...except for the bass part. He's a bass player and it needs to be right up there with the vocal to make him happy, lol.

That intro solo is very tasty...

Ed  I'm glad you liked it!
This is one of the first songs I layed down when I got Splat.  When I recorded the bass gtr I instead of playing closer to the bridge I was playing much more forward and with a $250 Ibanez 5 string it's not the best place to get a good mid tone so I either re- record that part or try and eq it a little more without making it sound any worse.

My nemesis at this point like so many others is low end mud and overall mix clarity. But I'll keep working it. Just picked up some different monitors that are a little more bass heavy than the Yamaha HS5's. Hopefully I'll be able to hear the low end a little better. Thanks for the critique!

Sure. PM me and we can go from there. I'm assuming your projects are tempo-aligned? I work primarily in midi then render the audio when I'm happy with it before I start mixing.  The only instrument I play "live" these days is guitar...

Generally, pretty cool! I'd say the drum performance is a highlight, seems to fit the song very well, really supports things.

I'd lift the lead vocals up in volume a little in the chorus section.

Anything that I can can compare to Boston's first album is pretty friggin' good, and that's what I think of when I hear your stuff. Can't say fairer than that!

nice stuff man!

Another one in the bag...   Love those chugging guitar lines, and the vocals (as before) are freakin' awesome.  This one reminded me a little of 38 Special (flashbacks!) but perhaps with a bit more modern technical proficiency.

Thanks alot Steve,

The song is a little short on decorations but I got tired of working on it and decided to through it out there.
Speaking of 38 Special.....  great songs and terrific melodic lead playing in that band.
One of my favorites by them which didn't get alot of airplay was "Little Sheba" A completely cool melody and arrangement in that song.  She's a Knockout is actually alot of fun to play on Guitar.

Yup!   I always did like their approach, sort of like southern rock with a melodic pop thing happening.
