Geez, Kenny, it beats me how you can think that fast! You think of several phrases to play while I'd still be figuring out whether to play an A or a C#. Very impressive!

I also really like your tone on your straight, smooth sound. It's beautiful and clear but also rounded without too much trebly edge - just right, to my ears.

Attawaytogo, Kenny!

Yes, yes, yes!!  Like jamesg I really like the shift from gnarly to mellow and then back again.  Whew, pro level stuff all the way.

But I gotta know: how come MY tele doesn't sound like that?!?!?!?!

That backing track is pretty wicked! Your playing over the top is very good Kenny! Wish I could do half as well!

Pretty neat organ licks too...

Regards,
Dan

Hi Dan ,
You know I dig your sounds for sure . I'm real happy you dug my guitar playing on this
Say, if you ever want some playing like that on one of your tracks just let me know .

Wookiee
Nice Kenny, is the organ supposed to panned hard right, nice playing though some sweet tones on the Tele.

Hi Wookiee ,

My short answer would be Yes . I put the organ hard right on purpose .
I liked the way it sounded over there , plus I was looking to nab a very old school live type of sound in this song …

I'm glad you dug my Tele playing  that's what means the most too me .
Thank you .

That backing track is nice.    But your playing and tones are nicer.

Great way to mix up the clean and mellow with the hot and gnarly.  Tasty.   And yeah, those organ solos sound pretty good too... a few of the lines reminded me a little of an Edgar Winter keyboard solo from years ago...

Hi Steve,

I know that you are a very good guitarist yourself  Thank you for the kind words …

I'm real happy to have played something on my Tele you enjoyed .

This is for anyone that wants to have a go at the backing track ….here's the link

This is a rough mix.  The jazz-like sections which were countered by the hot rock-ish playing is brilliant.  Of course your playing is great ----- something that I can only wish I could do.
Niiiiice!!!!

Hi Freddy ,

I'm happy you enjoyed my guitar playing , also the approach I used in my playing on this song
I've heard your guitar playing . You are no slouch on the guitars fret board yourself Freddy…You got the goods
Thanks .

Hi Laura ,

Wow , What a nice , super kind thing to say too me
My general MO is to spend a good deal of my time thinking when I'm practicing and hunting around for musical ideas  .
On any given day I may spend hours thinking and playing small microscopic musical motiefs .
I find that I get a lot of good ideas that I hope I can remember in the future .
For years I have been telling people that when it comes time for me to record or play my guitar for real .
I play what I like to call "Ouija board style guitar ".
I just like to just go for it , let the chips fall where they may fall , and play on pure instint .
I'm happy you liked some of my tones …that means a lot too me

all the best ,

Kenny

Awesome playing, damn. I think my favorite was the mellow, clean lead, but it was all so tasteful and raw. Impressive.
