Hi Peeps,

I must first apologise for being absent for the last six months or so. I've been doing "other things," all totally legal of course

I am still pursuing music of a more ambient nature and my latest piece, GSV Sleeper Service is an eight minute long drone, so you will need to be suitably spaced out before attempting to listen:-

It's long, but I rather enjoyed it!   You have a knack for keeping what is essentially a "drone piece" from being anything but static by continuously bringing elements in and out.    I liked the presence of those click percussion parts.     Mix-wise everything sounds really good, but there did seem to be a bit of noise in a few spots along the way; similar to cable noise or slight distortion.   Minor thing though...

Hiya Steve,

Thanks for listening.

I'm not sure what the noise could be. Everything is "in the box" on this one. I can only assume it is a product of the effects I use. Saturn, for instance, on this project did provide some distortion, so it could be that...

You couldn't have picked a better pic for this one. I think oozes expansive space ( even though in space there isn't supposed to be any sound). Nice track!!

Not suitable spaced as such the old MF is in space dock at the moment but

I think I am hearing some digital artefacts which may be the noise Steve is hearing.  Nice all the same, thanks for sharing.

very cool Andy - I really like the atmosphere you created.
Listening on crappy speakers - I will try and have a proper listen over the weekend.

@ Tim, Wookiee and Daryl,

Thanks for taking the time to listen to something that might not be quite up your alley.

What disappoints me is that after posting my new track here I spent over two hours listening to many new tracks here.

I guess I won't be bothering with the Sonar songs forum any more...

cheers
