working now. composition-wise sounds great. love the early-to mid 20th century mixed with film music idiom (totally my thing)! some great harmonic ideas. very well scored.
didn't like the synthy bits, felt a bit artificial.
as far as the actual orchestral sounds - they are OK. totally get across the ideas, but wouldn't fool anyone into thinking it was the NYSO.
the amount of work that goes into this is amazing though.i write out a shortpiece for vocals and piano and it takes me days!

I don't have, and have never had, an interest in "fooling" anyone regarding my recordings.  To compare a recording of a virtual orchestra to a live orchestra is absurd, no musician who knows his craft and art does so.  It's like comparing a live play to a film, or a photograph to a painting -  they're different mediums with different strengths and weaknesses.  People who do compare a live performance in a great hall to a virtual orchestra recording will probably not be able to appreciate the latter for what it is.
